This is an overseas post-graduate educational program carried out by the Graduate School of Environmental Studies, Tohoku University (Japan), with the cooperation of Institut Teknologi Bandung (Indonesia).

The main purpose of this program is to make intellectual contribution to building up an environmental-friendly and sustainable social system supported with high efficient usage of natural resources, where people could be blessed with secure and stable life.

The academic focus of this program is on field of “Energy Security”, studying especially production technology and renewable energies for sustainable fossil and renewable energies for sustainable development, within the framework of interdisciplinary integrated studies of engineering and social sciences. The main aim of this educational program is to offer experts and leaders who could take an active part in the “Energy Security” problems from the aspects of advanced high technology, policy planning and management, on the international and domestic levels at present as well as in the foreseeable future.

This program has already started from October 2008, and is being mostly developed at Institut Teknologi Bandung, Indonesia and taught in English.

Both international and Japanese candidates, post-graduate students and those who are actively engaged in actual world after graduation in Asian countries in particular, are considered for admission. [This program is financially supported by Japan Petroleum Exploration Company, Ltd (JAPEX).]
